I am pleased to announce that I shall be running a series of Saturday workshops from February through to November (excluding March) in 2015.

These days will be suitable for all abilities, from beginner to experienced student. The atmosphere in these workshops is always friendly and informal and we will sometimes work in a larger group, or pairs. There will also be the opportunity for individual practice and self-reflection as these days are very much about you, the individual. A workbook will accompany each workshop, giving you a reminder of the day, and a journal of your thoughts to take away with you.

The focus this year will be on health and healing through a variety of yoga practices. These workshops are suitable for students wishing to deepen their knowledge and understanding of yoga philosophy, and those wishing to take responsibility for improving and maintaining their overall health and wellbeing through a greater appreciation of yoga and what it can give each of us.

Each workshop will be completely self-contained, so you can choose to attend just one or two over the year, or all of them, if that suits you!

Light refreshments will be provided throughout the day, please bring a light lunch as we may be practising asanas afterwards!

The cost for each workshop, including workbook and refreshments, is £25.00.

Spare yourself some ‘me’ time to relax and revive body mind and spirit. Enjoy soothing and rejuvenating your body and mind, and expanding your knowledge of yoga, as we delve into its many layers of history and tradition.

If you would like to read comments from students who have participated in previous workshops, go to Feedback and Comments.

20th June 2015  – 10.00am-3.00pm

The Prana Vayus – Five Winds of the BodyIMG_20150129_113130655

The Prana Vayus play a pivotal role in our yoga practice, even though we may not even be aware of their existence!  This workshop will explore how we can use our practice to stimulate the different Vayus in order to maintain or return to health and wellbeing.

Through posture-work, quiet reflection, discussion, breathing techniques, visualisation, mindfulness and relaxation, we will explore how yoga philosophy can help us to develop a greater awareness of our Self, and a deeper understanding of what it is that we need to realise in order to work towards ultimate health. This will be a deeply reflective day that students may well find to be both enlightening and inspirational!
